How do I play?

The classic game is a live quiz show for 3 to 6 players. Pick a category and a value on the board, then race to buzz first: a right answer wins the points and a wrong one costs them. The silver and gold rounds hide special cells: the wager, the treasure and the puzzle. After a rapid round, the top two meet in the diamond final, noughts and crosses on a grid of 9 categories: three in a row wins.

The Diamond Duel is that final on its own, one against one, in about 3 to 5 minutes. Before every pick the open categories are shuffled. Answer your question right to claim the cell, and make three in a row.

Levels: both can be played at Easy, Medium or Hard (questions of that difficulty only), or Random (every difficulty, mixed).

Can I play alone?

Yes. In Quick Match, when nobody else is around, choose Play now with bots. In a room you create, the host can add bots. For the Diamond Duel, choose Play the robot.

Do I need an account?

No. You can start right away as a guest; your progress is kept on that device. Link Google or Apple in Settings → Account to keep it on any device: your stats stay. You can also sign in with Google or Apple from the start.

Daily rewards and the daily challenge

Every day you can claim a login reward, keep your day streak alive with one game, complete missions for gems (from player level 10), and play the daily challenge: the same questions for every player, once a day, with a board of the best scores.

The league

The league is played in seasons of up to 10 Diamond Duels against players near your division, from division 10, where everyone starts, up to division 1; in divisions 10 to 6 a robot steps in when nobody is found within 20 seconds. A win gives 3 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0, and leaving a match counts as a loss. When the season ends, your points decide whether you go down, stay, go up or win the title, and every title adds a trophy to your cabinet. Your opponents see your display name, avatar and division, and the league board (Top players) shows the best players with their display name, avatar, division, points and titles.

The journey

The journey is a path of lands with 15 stages each, played on your own: answer enough questions right to win a stage and earn a star, and beat the land's guardian in a Diamond Duel at stage 15 to open the next land. Each land has a landmark of 5 steps; each step costs 3 stars, and the last one opens the land chest. Every stage you play costs a life, which you get back when you win, and lives come back over time. Boosters (remove two, swap, freeze, players' opinion) help with a hard question: a win streak gives you some for free, and you can buy more with gems. "Review your mistakes" replays questions you got wrong, for free. Your journey is shown only to you.

Events

Timed events run beside your games: a Flash Race against up to 4 players or robots, the Summit Climb (win journey stages in a row to reach the top and share the prize pot), Topic Week (earn a book for every right answer on the week's topic and collect rewards at each tier) and the Weekly Cup (win crowns in your games). Your games count for every event you joined at the same time. Find them on the home screen and in the Arena; collect your prize from the event when it ends.

Teams

From player level 30 you can create a team (for gems) or join one. A team has up to 30 members: its leader, up to 2 co-leaders and members. Team chat uses preset phrases only, so there is nothing to type, and every teammate reads each message in their own language. Ask your team for lives and send lives to teammates, fill the weekly team chest together with your games and collect its reward, and, with at least 5 members, face another team in the weekly Team Battle. Your teammates see your display name, avatar, level and role, the messages you post and your team points. If a team's name or description is offensive, use Report team. You can leave a team at any time.

Knowledge Pass, album and style

Every month your games earn points on the Knowledge Pass: each tier you reach has a reward to collect, and when the month ends the rewards you reached but did not collect are added to your account. Card packs from the pass, events, the team chest, land chests and your wins fill your card album: complete a set of 9 cards or the whole album for rewards, turn spare copies into album points to get the cards you are missing, and give spares to teammates who need them. The app shows the odds of every pack. Frames and titles you earn show next to your name for other players; Dr. Info's outfit is only for you. Choose them in your profile (Style).

Notifications

If you allow them, we let you know when a friend invites you while the app is closed, remind you before your day streak ends, tell you when your lives are full again or an event you joined ends soon (at most two reminders a day, and never at night), and now and then tell you about news such as new questions. You can turn reminders off in the app (Settings → Reminders) and every notification in your phone's settings; on Android, "Game invites", "Reminders" and "News and updates" can be turned off separately.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Or see how to delete your account, by email too.

Report a wrong question or an abusive name

Use Report in the app, or email us the details: for a question, its text (a screenshot helps), its category and the language; for a player, their display name and when you saw it. We review every report, remove offensive names and ban players who break the rules.
